This weekend was a lot of fun. On Friday night, we had my work party near Thanksgiving Point. It was so much fun. I have a lot of pictures from it, but I'll just post those on when I can. We had a white elephant and I went home with a signed autographed picture of one of the girls...creative. Then we had really good food and went home. I had fun mingling with all my co workers. I don't think Daniel did. Then the next day, we went to Tremonton to my husbands old mission companions wedding reception. Long Drive and very exhausting, but it was a lot of fun. We got to take a lot of scenery shots on our way up.
We had a lot of fun at the reception when we finally got there. The whole way up the sun was so pretty and the more north we got the more sun we got. Daniel's mission companions wedding was very nice and he was happy to see us. Here is the yummy Cake from the reception. It was a nice evening. We left and we wanted to make it home before the roads got too bad, because it was our first real snow of the Winter. From Tremonton down to Layton (about 30 mins) wasn't that bad. From about Layton to SLC, it got pretty bad. We saw countless car accidents from people who's cars slipped on ice and hit other cars. We saw a sign and it said CAUTION: crash ahead. We started to slow down and then all of a sudden our wouldn't stop. There were cars in front of us too and we had to stop or else we would be another car accident. Daniel then started to put on the emergency break and it still wouldn't let us stop. So he started moving the wheel into the turn and we did a complete 180 on the freeway with traffic coming towards. We, then and there, were staring at traffic head on. A car was slowing down towards and Daniel put the car into reverse and went to the side of the road. We just sat there and didn't know what to think. We were scared out of our minds. Cars were going 40-50 mph and it was nearly impossible to get back into traffic. All of a sudden, there were no cars at all! So we quickly got back into traffic and went only about 40 mph the rest of the way home. It was so scary and we are go happy that nothing happened to us because easily something could have. We are not going to SLC for a long time.
