Weight loss Update

As of Easter morning, I have lost 28 lbs. My last weigh in update was 3 weeks ago. Many people have been asking me what I am doing to lose weight. I am eating around 1400 calories a day using my Fitness Pal App and I am trying to burn around 400-500 calories a day in just exercising. As a mom of two little ones, you don't always get your way, if ever. If I could I would work out a good portion of my day, eat super healthy yummy meals and be so happy, right?! haha well since thats not how life works, I try and plan out what I am going to eat to make sure I am not just grabbing some high calorie chocolate bar at the end of the day. I look for opportunities to take the kids places that will allow me to exercise. For example, when we grocery shopping, I turn my pedometer on and I just walk until I have burned at least 200 calories. That only takes like an hour. Then since we got a jogger stroller, we go on LOTS of walks. The kids love it!! I can easily burn almost 400 calories on a 3 mile walk which just takes a little over an hour and usually puts them both to sleep. The more I have exercising and eating healthy (I don't like calling it a diet because its a lifestyle change, in all honesty) I have realized that its not hard at all. Your mind controls the level of difficulty. You have to re train your thoughts on why you need those second helpings or why you need a desert after your meal. Another thing I have done is doubled my intake of vegetables. We eat lots and lots of steamed veggies and crockpot chicken. Frozen vegetables are cheap and soooo easy to make! I realize all the excuses I have made my whole life!! Its ridiculous and I do find myself reverting back to those thoughts in which I quickly try and hush them away.
