Canada Wedding

We drove all Wednesday night into Thursday morning to Alberta.  The drive was actually not that bad. It was 12 hours but the kids slept MOST of the way. They would wake up every few hours fussing because they didn't know why they were still in their car seats, but just a binkie or bottle helped them calm back down.  We were able to go see Daniel's cousin Caleb get sealed in the Cardston Temple to his now bride, Monica.  We had spent some time with them the week before in Utah while his brother was getting married (yes lots of weddings!) and they were so cute together! You can really tell they are in love! Daniel was a groomsman so we knew we had to make the trek up to this beautiful country plus get a little vacation out of it.

Everything went great until the last day we were there.  Daniel and I got lost in Southern Alberta for 2 hours.  Just driving around in no mans land!  We barely had phone service and it cost like $5 a minute to talk to someone.  We didn't have any way of contacting someone and it was more frustrating than I would like to admit.  We finally called his aunt who was actually driving back home from the wedding to Utah a little early for the address and then we asked a random couple walking the streets if they knew where it was.  Luckily they knew the bride! Then when we started our drive back home, Daniel lost his phone.  We couldn't call it because well, he wasn't able to accept calls in Canada.  So we had to drive all the way to the border into the states to get coverage and just pray that the phone was somewhere buried in our car. As we reached the tip of Montana, we called it and sure enough it was in his car door compartment.

Overall, it was a fun trip and we were able to make a lot of memories with family which was the best part.
