You know those friends you have where you could go months, even years without seeing them, but when you do, you leave off right where you picked up? Those are truly THE BEST friends because honestly we don't have time to get together every single week or month and it just is so fun to catch up.
Today, Olivia and I went on a little date, just the two of us to meet up with my friend Emily whom I worked with back in High School!
It was so nice to get out with just my girl. I will be honest, since having Harrison, some guilt has plagued me because we don't get that one on one time like we used to. She probably doesn't realize it, but I certainly do and I miss it. She's my little girl and I think the world of her. Being the mom of a girl makes me extra excited for what she has ahead of her. I am excited for her to get her ears pierced, for her first day of school, for her first date, for her wedding, for her first baby, more importantly,
I am just excited to be there for her.

ReplyDeleteSo fun! One of my 5-year olds favorite things is to do is go on "Daddy Dates" and "Mommy Dates" -- I feel bad she doesn't get them more often, but when it does happen it sure is wonderful!
