Giveaway Winner + Weight loss Update

Now onto my weight loss update! 
I haven't done one in a long time because I forgot! I guess once I reached 100 lbs, the updates weren't as exciting.  Well I should probably still keep it updated on my blog for journaling purposes and hope that some of you still care!  Weight loss is slow! I think I am in a plateau.  My body is definitely used to the hard workouts and the healthy eating.  Ever since we went to Disney World, it's been a weird transition coming back to real life.  I am still pretty good at eating and exercising but the weight is taking a lot longer to come off.  Honestly, I haven't weighed myself in a week or two because I just don't care as much anymore about the scale.  I really only care about how I feel and how my clothes fit.  I think when you get to the last few pounds that you want to lose, this is what is going to happen because I will have to work really hard for it.  I told myself that once I hit 100 lbs that I will let myself be a little relaxed and live life a little.  I don't want to get so caught up in completing my days perfectly because I am a mom and a wife.  However, I still have very healthy habits and don't see myself ever going back to my old ways.  That I am sure of. 
I honestly feel really good though.  I love the way my body fits in clothes and I love seeing my clothes getting smaller and smaller.  I have come a long ways so for me to get so upset about what the scale says one week shouldn't matter! I have definitely tried to just not care.  


My body is getting so much stronger.  I am lifting heavier weights.  I am running faster and longer.  On Friday, I went running thinking I would do 6 miles.  I ended up doing 8 and it felt incredible.  The next day I had a chunk of time where my mother in law was taking my kids for the afternoon.  I decided to try and run those 8 miles again but even faster.  I ended up shaving 6 minutes off my time. I did the 8 miles in 1hr 24 minutes.  Just 8 months ago, I ran/walked my first 8 miles ever in 2 hrs.  I remember being so proud that I finished that.  But here I am now running as fast as I can for the same mileage only to do it in a fraction of the time.  That to me is so exciting and makes up for not losing weight as much these days.  I definitely have been looking for more non scale victories because of course progress is what keeps everyone going when it comes to hard things.  I don't even officially start half marathon training until April 1st but I am doing so good before and to think that I can actually PR is so exciting.  I also decided while running that I want to do a full marathon before I turn 30.  I've got some time before that happens, but before my mind was thinking that I never wanted to do a full.  But just to say that you did one is pretty incredible to me at least so I think I will open my mind to that possibility.

  2. Holy moly you are amazing! I love that you post non scale victories. I have been working out and I feel so much stronger but the scale hasn't changed as much as I'd like. But this reminds me that the scale is where all my focus should be. Thank you!

  4. Hi, you are very inspiring! I am about halfway through my own 100 lb. weight loss and I was just wondering if you have any of the saggy skin issues and if you've had any success with that.
