15 ways to Reward yourself without Food


Since I just talked about cheat meals, I figured it was probably the best timing to talk about rewards.  When you work hard for your progress, you want to feel like all that hard work was worth it.  Rather than eating a big cheat meal, there are other ways you can really feel good about your progress that won't hinder it.  These are some things I do to reward myself when I have reached a goal:

1. Take a Girls night
2. Go get a manicure/pedicure
3. Take a personal day
4. Buy a new pair of jeans
5. Get a massage
6. Go on a road trip
7. Download a new workout song
8. Get a new haircut/color
9.  Watch your favorite movie
10.  Go camping
11. Take a walk/hike to a scenic view
12. Buy a new piece of jewelry
13.  Read a new book
14.  Play tourist in your own city
15.  Buy a new pair of shoes

These are just a few ideas that I like to remind myself when I reach a new goal.  Although the cheat meal tastes great, getting my nails done feels much better (and lasts longer)!

  3. Great ideas! I much rather reward myself with something that will create positive memories than eat a big meal that will more than likely leave me feeling uncomfortable.
