Healthy Snack Ideas

I love to snack on food and my favorite would have to be cheez-its. Yes I will admit that those orange crackers bring me some sort of pleasure not a lot of things can do! However, I just know they aren't the best thing to eat therefore I limit when I eat them. It's all about balance, guys!

I have been looking around for a while at some healthy and tasty snack ideas since that is my biggest pitfall when it comes to nutrition. I am totally guilty of standing in my kitchen between meals thinking about what to eat and usually I am tempted by my kids fruit snacks (which are never a good idea)!

I need to be better at having healthy snacks on hand so that is why I have come up with some recipes that I would like to try!

I love that for these you can make a bunch of cookies or apple chips and keep them on hand throughout the week.  It sure makes those middle of the afternoon snack fest much less complicated when you can have a few of these lying around to munch on without the guilt!


  1. Oh my those oatmeal cookie bites look wonderful! We do turkey sloppy joes from time to time and they are great, plus they keep really well. And apple chips are soooo yummy! I've been eating your turkey tacos from your e-book this week. I had never thought to use turkey for tacos, but boy are they tasty! Thanks for the ideas and inspiration! -Hope

  2. Some of my favorite healthy snacks are: light string cheese, dannon light and fit yogurt, a green juiice/smoothie with just water, a sliced apple, handful of spinach, and juice of a half lemon. Baby carrots. Boiled eggs. Fruit salad- especially when I have a sweet tooth. My favorites to put together are a can of natural pineapple (or fresh), diced apple, sliced banana, siced strawberries, and whatevee else I have around. The juice from the pineapple keeps the apple from turning brown :) also baked tortilla chips and salsa.
