As you can tell, I have had a hay-day with tweezers. I think I started plucking my eyebrows when I was in 8th grade. I don't think anyone below the age of 16 should be allowed to pluck eyebrows because you can really mess your beautiful brows up in a hot second! I have over plucked and now the hairs don't grow back like they used to. Since fuller brows are totally in right now, I have always wanted to get that look, but I really didn't know how. I have tried all sorts of products that could help me get a natural looking brow that lasts 12 hours. The one product that has stolen my heart is Anastasica Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I had first heard about this magical pomade from the best beauty bloggers on YouTube. I decided to finally go and try and the product. It took me several weeks because both my Sephora and Ulta were sold out. Finally I snagged one in Blonde and bought Anastasia brush too which I recommend.
As you can tell my pomade has been well loved because I seriously use it every single day! I include brow scissors in case you have stray hairs. That is something I have neglected to trim on the daily and it makes a huge difference. I bought the scissors from Target, but Anastasia has some great ones too!
So first I like to get my brush moist. I usually run my brush along a baby wipe to get it pliable. Then I dip the brush in the pomade and get it fully coated. I wipe off any excess pomade on the side to make sure I have a nice thin point on the brush. I take the brush and run it on the lower part of my brow. I am basically creating an outline of my brow and starting with the bottom first. Create the shape of your brow here and make sure to go longer than your eye.
You can do both eyes at once like I have done in the photo. Now you are going to dip your brush again, removing any excess. Then outline the top of your brow make soft slow strokes. If you mess up, just wipe it off and start over. Now you are going to connect the top and bottom lines.
Once the top and bottom are connected, fill in your brow with whatever is left on your brush. Now figure out where you want your brow to start. You are now going to fill in the start of your brow. I like to line up my brush to my nose and it gives me a good idea as to what looks natural. I like to have an inch gap between my brows. Do soft strokes and don't get more pomade because you want this to look natural and not heavy. Take this time to clean up the other parts of your brow making clean lines and filling in other parts that need it.
Then you are done! Did I make that look too easy? Don't worry, it took me about a week to master this. Also, my brows are naturally uneven and for a while I fought that, but I actually am embracing it because it's so much more natural. Symmetry is overrated!
There you have it! Beautiful natural looking brows. The product is amazing and speaks for itself. I honestly don't know why I waited so long to buy it because I get so many compliments on my brows. They truly frame your face and complete any look! Now it takes me 3 minutes to do my brows which is perfect time for my busy schedule!
