You can't out exercise a bad diet


I have learned through this entire process that eating healthy is going to make the biggest dent in your weight loss.  I have tried many times eating whatever I want and while still exercising only to discover that it's not how it works.  You just have to watch what you eat, put the work in and the results will follow. I mentioned on my instagram page that I haven't been losing weight this month like I thought I would.  I have to remind myself that this weight didn't come on in a month and that it will take probably the entire 9 months for it to come off.  Isn't the saying, slow and steady wins the race?  I hope so!

I don't have a lot of time during meal times to cook for myself because I have 3 other hungry mouths to feed.  My kids don't like what I eat.  I don't mind though because I usually make them a turkey sandwich with some sort of side.  Lately, we have been eating lots of carrots and hummus.  Of course, they still eat the cookies and the cheez-its, but when I give them healthier options, they are more willing to eat those.  

I like the cook my meals two days in advanced since I am not the biggest fan of leftovers especially vegetables and chicken.  I like to get a thing of ground turkey and then some vegetables.  This week I have been eating a lot of sweet potato and brussel sprouts.  I also try and incorporate a lot of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.  When I cook it, I make enough for another meal or two and then heat those up when it's time to eat them.  This has become so handy around lunch time when I am starving, but don't have extra time to stand in front of the stove cooking.  If you are looking for more meal ideas, I have a recipe e-book with 20 more recipe ideas to help you with your food prep.  Click here to purchase and you can receive 50% off with code HALFOFF


Last night I made this amazing meal.  I used italian chicken sausage, then cut up carrots, brussel sprouts, and red potatoes.  I then combined it all in a pan with some olive oil and cooked it for about 20 minutes.  Oh my YUMMY! I only used salt and pepper seasoning because the sausage flavored everything else really well! This is definitely going on my dinner rotation.

  1. I just had my third baby 3 weeks ago. Its so hard to feed my family, and still have energy to take care of myself! When it comes to my lunch or whatever I am so tired lately that I end up eating stuff like cereal.. or a pbj. I'm so tired and feel blah.. I'm sure if I make an effort to eat my veggies and protein I will feel better.

  2. You are right dear eating healthy is the most important thing in your weight loss mission as it’ll provide energy for your workouts. I used to take homemade Green energy drinks for this purpose as it was the biggest source of nutrients for me.

There once was a diet that stated to continuously chew your food into oblivion without swallowing while you absorbed the nutrients through your mouth. Then you just spit the food out.
