I don't know about you, but during the holidays, I feel like there are so many parties and gatherings to attend to. It can get very overwhelming to try and go to them all so sometimes it's not completely possible! However, the ones that I do make it to, I try my best to feel and look my best. I wanted to write about my top 5 things I include while I get ready for the fun parties.
1. Sephora Cream Lip Stain | Last week I went to Sephora with some girlfriends and I was hoping to find a great lip stain. I didn't want just any color, I wanted a bright ruby red. I think that color is so fun for the holidays. I always feel like lipstick rubs off and my lips dry out and after an hour of having it on, I feel like I am looking like the joker from batman. This one is awesome!! I highly recommend it.
2. Hanes PowerShapers | After just having a baby, I tend to stay away from tights. I think it's because I feel so awkward and "fluffy" that wearing tights makes me feel uncomfortable. However, during the winter months in Utah, it's too cold to wear a dress without some sort of tight, nylon, what have you! When I put the PowerShapers on, I felt very comfortable. They have a grip on the waist so there is no sliding down, BRILLIANT! I didn't feel like I was constantly having to pull them up while at my husband's Christmas party.
3. Booties | I love wearing booties because they look dressy and fancy, but you don't have to be uncomfortable in a 3-4 inch heel! I am all about being practical right now and heels don't fit in that mix with 3 little kids. I can barely keep up after them in flats so I can't imagine adding a heel. My favorites right now are these Sam Edelman Circus ones in Black. Comfortable and fancy!
4, Gold Jewelry | I remember when I got married in 2008 and how I insisted on only wearing a silver ring! I thought gold was so old lady! Well, times have changed because I LOVE wearing gold. It is so warm and rich in color and makes any outfit just so much prettier. I usually buy my jewelry from Forever 21 because
it's cheap and way cute!
5. Holiday Dress | I adore the Peter Pan look! I think it's darling and anyone can pull it off. I bought this dress over 3 years ago and even though I have lost a considerable amount of weight, I can still wear it! It's very stretchy and forgiving which makes it nice to wear all the time for the comfort. There we go again, COMFORT! The one I bought is from Asos and is out of stock, but I found one similar at Forever 21.
So there we have it, my holiday survival items for the Holidays! I hope you enjoy all these picks for your busy holiday party season.
